Preview: Kansas Comes To Texas

The Wizard of Oz wasn’t the only huge thing to emerge from Kansas decades ago. With over 30 Million records sold, eight gold albums. three sextuple-platinum albums, one platinum live album, a million-selling single, lengthy appearances on the Billboard charts and the most played track on classic rock radio in 1997-  Kansas is still doing it.

Ultimate Classic Rock says “Kansas, whose blend of rock, jazz, classical and other musical forms was particularly inventive, distinguished by Robby Steinhardt’s violin and thought-provoking lyrics penned by Kerry Livgren and Steve Walsh.” See their favorite songs-Read More: Top 10 Kansas Songs.

After the retirement of Steve Walsh in July 2014, new vocalist Ronnie Platt came onboard and has been embraced by fans. With a huge 2015 Tour (over 90 shows) the band is already in the studio and set to release a new album in 2016. Check out Miracles Out Of Nowhere- a documentary film that follows the band’s start from the middle of nowhere in Topeka, Kansas to huge sold out shows around the world. Follow the 2015 Tour- Check out the upcoming tour dates at Kansas Tour.
