You know you love these 80’s and 90’s iconic bands. Foreigner stands out as one of the best that have stood the test of time. You know many of their hit songs, some platinum, including “Juke Box Hero,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “Urgent,” “Head Games,” “Hot Blooded,” “Cold As Ice,” “Dirty White Boy,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” and the worldwide #1 hit, “I Want To Know What Love Is”. Their album 4 was Billboard’s #1 hit. Forty years later, they are as popular as ever. Their songs appear on some big soundtracks like The Boss with Melissa McCarthy. Foreigner is one of the most viewed YouTube artists with anywhere between 700,000 and 900,000 weekly hits (Source: Next Big Sound).
At Foreigner’s core is the founder Mick Jones. In June 2013, Mick Jones was inducted to the Songwriters Hall Of Fame. He’s also collaborated with legends Eric Clapton, Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Joel, and Van Halen. The band debuted in 1976 and had some band changes and a regrouping in 2002. The addition of lead Kelly Hansen and others, has helped Foreigner evolve and reach new heights.
After their big Austin City Limits show in Austin, Texas, the band heads to sold out shows in the South, then up to NY and Canada. The tour continues with a blowout summer tour in Europe and the UK. Check out the full tour schedule at Foreigner Online .
