Tenacious was joined during the show by country band Wynchester, which features Kyle Gass Band singer Mike Bray and Tenacious D guitarist John Konesky.

A large screen over the stage projected a raunchy animated short movie/rock opera film for their new album, Apocalypto. The film followed the duo’s epic misadventures ranging from discovering an all-female inhabited island quickly turning against them, to fighting their way through swarms of Nazi’s and Klansmen guarding a sacred treasure to save the world.

In between segments of the film, the duo performed songs from their new album that followed with the film’s storyline that never ceased to amass a wave of laughter from fans. As the animated film concluded singer, Jack Black took the stage to thank the audience for their premiere and was instantly met with roaring applause.

In true comedic fashion, Black came sporting a large tiger print shirt in which he would tuck both his arms into and exchange satirical jokes with guitarist, Kyle Gass.
