Rest In Peace Rolling Stones’ Charlie Watts

It’s a very sad day not just for Rolling Stones fans, but for all music lovers who appreciate and value legends. Not many iconic bands have survived over many decades amidst the trials and tribulations facing musicians and the music business as a whole. And certainly fewer that are still playing and singing at a high caliber.

Houston Rolling Stones NO FILTER Tour 2019

We were fortunate to cover the band on the Houston stop of their No Filter tour at NRG Stadium in 2019, before Covid of course. Standing at the end of the catwalk and getting to shoot these icons was a great place to be- we even wondered then if that might be our last time to cover them. It was one of the most memorable shoots and concerts we have ever experienced- and we’ve seen hundreds of shows in recent years. These legends were on a high- performance wise- looked and sounded fit as ever. Considering they were all pushing 80, it was awe inspiring.

The Austin stop on the renewed tour is scheduled for November 2021 at the F1 Circuit of the Americas racetrack super stage- it won’t be the same. Things will never be the same. #RIPCharlieWatts
