The 2 day fest returned to Moody Amphitheater with a great line up and hugely popular headliners Khalid and Benson Boone who totally blew up last year.

A few day 1 highlights included:

Ashe: She ended with her beloved and emotional song Moral of the Story, had the whole crowd singing.

Blusher: the Australian start up band had a lot of spunky energy with their choreographed dances and duets. You can tell they’re excited to be on stage.

Disco Cowboy: He had two dancers entertain the crowd with their bedazzled Texan-inspired outfits.

Khalid: As the sun was setting, he brought everyone at the festival to his stage, filling the field. He sang all his classics, even ‘Lovely’ despite Billy Eilish not being there. Fans expected Halsey to come on stage during Eastside, but she didn’t. He was very interactive with his fans.

Gus Dapperton: He and his band put on a great performance with moody lighting and lots of retro-like dancing. It felt like you were in a dance club in the ‘70s with how Gus would uniquely glide across the stage in an almost eerie way as the lights flashed. Their music is very moody and groovy.

Suki Waterhouse: She came out on stage in a luxury looking fur coat despite the heat — she was in a sparkly jumpsuit with disco balls covering the stage. She brought Ashe on stage to sing a song they wrote together.

Halsey: Coming on stage with her thrifted-Victorian white dress and a curly, dark mullet, it’s always exciting to see how Halsey is going to express herself. She’s always changing her hair and her style. She sang her newest punk-rock inspired hit called Safeword. It sounds inspired by Paramore. She also sang multiple songs from her first album that brought her to fame, Badlands.

Some day 2 highlights were DJ Cassandra, AJR and of course, headliner Benson Boone. It was so cold (like in the 40’s) and fans persevered to see Boone, but it was harsh! Not the weather we had hoped for and a drastic change from day 1. But that’s Texas y’all!
