Once again, the coolest thing you will see in Austin this week (outside of SXSW) is in Spicewood, Texas at the annual shindig at Willie Nelson’s ranch and home. Although tickets are super hard to come by, we will have all the scoop and photos from the one day festival. Luck is hosted by Willie and his family and they always put on an amazing headlining show. Lukas Nelson has been on a major trajectory this year with high-profile performances and tour (and partnership on “A Star is Born” which won best song for “Shallow” at the Academy, Golden Globes, and Grammy Awards) and will be a highlight of the festival.
With a combination of buzzing newcomers like Brandy Zdan, Angie McMahon and popular musicians like legend Mavis Staples, Nathaniel Rateliff, Steve Earle, Hays Carll and more-there is something for everyone and every age. There are four stages with music constantly and the coolest venue is the little chapel for intimate performances of amazing artists. There’s tons of great food and drink. Be sure to check out the weed store, the free drinks in the saloon, and the wonderful CBD caramels.
